Impact Wrestling have announced two matches for the upcoming Impact episode.
Tessa Blanchard, thought by many to be among the best women’s wrestlers going, will be facing off with Madman Fulton.
Fulton was formerly known as Sawyer Fulton in NXT. Fulton is part of the oVe stable, led by Sami Callihan, who is currently embroiled in a feud with Blanchard. This is another in the line of Tessa’s intergender bouts, something she’s become quite renowned for in breaking new ground.
Tessa recently faced off with Callihan at Slammiversary, the first time an intergender match headlined an Impact Pay-Per-View. Though she lost, it was in an incredible effort. After winning a special Mashup Tournament alongside Callihan, in which established enemies were paired up as oddball tag teams, Tessa and Callihan are set to face off at the Impact Unbreakable event at August 2nd. The winner will receive a shot at the Impact Championship, currently held by Brian Cage, at Bound For Glory.
This upcoming match with Fulton serves as a warm-up for her rematch with Callihan.
Also announced: The North will defend their Impact World Tag Team Championships against The Rascalz.
The North are comprised of Ethan Page and Josh Alexander. They won the titles at the Bash at the Brewery special back on July 5th. In that short time they’ve already defended the titles twice, including a three-way tag at Slammiversary in which they defeated LAX and the Rascalz, albeit by pinning LAX. The Rascalz are a three-man group made up of Dez, Trey and Wentz. Notably, Dez and Wentz were the challengers last time but Dez & Trey are the ones going for the titles this time around.
Currently, The North are in their first reign with the titles. The Rascalz would also be first-time champs, should they be victorious.
