WWE Monday Night Raw continues. The Last Chance Gauntlet match rolls on and Bobby Lashley is still here, now facing off with Humberto Carrillo.
Bobby Lashley vs. Humberto Carrillo
Carrillo is being beaten on as we return from break with the bell having rung off-screen. Carrillo fights back up and gets an enziguri, Standing Shooting Star Press for a nearfall. Lashley fights back, overhead belly to belly. Takes Humberto to the corner, charging shoulder thrust, chokes Humberto with the boot. And… the ref DQs Bobby Lashley off of that? What?!
Winner: Humberto Carrillo (by DQ)
That is absolutely ridiculous, they did not sell that as DQ-worthy at all. Lashley is pissed and hits a big Biel Throw on Carrillo before nailing him with a big Spear. Officials escort Lashley out of the ring and whaddya know, as Humberto is there vulnerable as can be, the next man out is Angel Garza. What a terribly booked finish. I mean that has to be said. I don’t mind a DQ if it’s sensible and adds to the story. And I get the story this wants to set up but holy crap did that seem like a rash call by the official, he didn’t do anything you wouldn’t see in any other match. Not good to have a heel getting screwed by a ref like that.
Humberto Carrillo vs. Angel Garza
Once again the bell rang during the commercial. Angel is hammering him, basement dropkick for a nearfall. Indian Deathlock cinched in. As this happens, backstage Lana is trying to explain that if she were in his corner she might’ve been able to help but Lashley says ‘not now’. Humberto fights his way up, hip toss but Garza retakes the advantage, hooks him with a reverse facelock and smirks. He bounces him off the ropes for a Slingshot Reverse Suplex and follows up with an immediate Superkick! Garza is stunned at the proceeding kickout! Humberto fights back, couple of dropkicks for a 2 count. Standing Moonsault, Garza gets the knees up! Cover, Humberto with the narrow kickout.
Romero Special cinched in. Springboard Moonsault for a nearfall. Now the single arm chickenwing. Trying to hook both arms and pull him up for the Wing Clipper… Carrillo with a sunset flip and the camera does a very bad job of catching this very narrow three count.
Winner: Humberto Carrillo
Austin Theory is coincidentally the next out, who would’ve guessed? And now he and Carrillo are going to fight in a splitscreen because every single round Carrillo is in must begin during commercial.
