Elicia had an interview with John Yates and Monica from All About the Tea, where she spoke out Deavan and Jihoon’s split. Elicia reveals that “cultural differences” played a role in the duo’s break up. On the second season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Deavan Clegg made went to live with Jihoon in South Korea.
But she found out that her husband, Jihoon wasn’t ready to man up and support the family. Also, adjusting to the life in South Korea was difficult for her. For instance, she didn’t speak and understand even speak a word of the country.
“It’s way different than just American culture and Korean culture,” Elicia said. “You have Utah culture.”
Elicia Clegg pointed out that Utah is more “centered around children.” Accoring to her, life over there is different from life in America. This might have been why Deavan couldn’t adjust. Deavan has a son with Jihoon and she has a daughter from a previous relationship.
Elicia also said that the cost of living in South Korea was a concern when it came to raising her kids. “It’s more expensive to raise children over there,” Elicia said. Money problem is a constant problem with couples on the TLC show.

Elicia Clegg also shared that her daughter and Jihoon were apart for longer that their fans think. “It’s been over since January,” Elicia said. “I would actually go even further back … I saw them at the end of November [in 2019], and that’s when the relationship was over … It’s been that long.”
Fans of the show are currently watching how that happened in August 2019. Deavan Clegg has confirmed her ex’s news that she filed for divorce. Jihoon and Deavan appeared on Season 1 of the TLC spinoff. Deavan’s mom said that fans of the TLC show saw their good and bad moments. Fans had the impression that their marriage would last forever.
According to Elicia, she had a feeling that their “whirlwind” romance would “crumble.” The TLC star’s mom talked about the abuse allegations against Lee and his parents. Deavan had said that Jihoon abused her daughter Drascilla on Instagram, but Jihoon has since denied that allegation.
