Charlotte Flair’s pregnancy drama has finally been put to bed as her team have denied the confusion that recently arose as to whether she was expecting.
Was Charlotte Flair Really Pregnant?
The drama occurred after fellow wrestler and Charlotte’s fiancé, Andrade, stated that she was informed by the WWE of her pregnancy. But it turned out that these were not his words as his interview was a case of incorrect translation. In an official statement by Charlotte’s team, they cleared up the whole saga.
The statement said: “What Manny [Andrade] said about the pregnancy test in today’s interview is true, but a significant amount of context is lost in translation, and we’d like to clear that up as best we can.” But that did not mean that a pregnancy was not possible. After all, the rumours had to have been more than just what Andrade had said.
And so it was true as Charlotte’s medical check-up, as part of a wrestler’s requirements, brought up some interesting observations. The statement added: “A few weeks ago, Charlotte received a call from WWE medical telling her that her HCG [human chorionic gonadotropin] levels had come back high, and she was being medically suspended for pregnancy.”
So why was a pregnancy not announced? She has not been in the ring for a while too. Well, it was a false alarm as Charlotte made sure that she was fit to get back into the ring by taking a test: “That day, she took several home tests that all came back negative. A few days later, blood work and ultrasound confirmed there was no pregnancy,” the statement revealed.
The news will, no doubt, have been a disappointment for Charlotte. She has previously spoken on her desire to have children. While it was not in her destiny to have them now, the news would still be difficult to swallow. In a previous interview, Charlotte said: “I definitely do [want kids]. I want the whole fairytale. I want three kids. Four Kids. I want all of it. It’s just, I don’t know how.”
