Caitlyn Jenner has blasted talk show host Jimmy Kimmel on the grounds that he was being transphobic.

Caitlyn cropped up into the conversation, with Jimmy throwing shade at her attempts to become Governor of California. While he may have a point in expressing concerns about her lack of political credentials, it seems the manner in which he mocked her got Caitlyn feeling irate.
The talk show host stated: “She’s just trying to get attention. ‘Caitlyn Jenner has a better chance of being the next Batman than she does Governor of California. She knows little to nothing about anything, really.” And yet, Jimmy did not stop there. He went further by mocking her appearance, and it seemed he was hating on her recent transition into a woman.
Irrespective of whether or not you agree with Caitlyn’s identity, it took the conversation away from the political issues at hand. And that forced Caitlyn to respond. In a post to her fans on Twitter, she said: “Last night @jimmykimmel called me Donald Trump with a wig. He obviously believes that trans women are simply men with wigs on.
“Where is the outrage from the left or LGBT community? ‘Being WOKE must be optional if you are a Democrat.” The reaction from the public was of condemnation. And yet, this is not the first time that Jimmy has gotten himself into trouble. In 2013, he faced mass controversy after one of his segments on the show.
During it, a child had told Jimmy that we should “kill all Chinese people” as a way to absolve US debt. Naturally, the joke backfired as he responded with, “that’s an interesting idea.” People came out in droves and demanded that he be fired. Although he gave an apology, it looks as though Jimmy cannot help himself.
Much in the same way here, one fan wrote: “I cannot stand her [Jenner], and I understand the root of that comparison, but it’s transphobic to compare her to a man in a wig. Pretty gross joke.” Time will tell if this will escalate any further, but with the presence of cancel culture, Jimmy may not be out of the woods just yet.
