That is a very strong statement indeed, and yet, the Kardashians/Jenners arguably have their own brand that is big enough by itself.
That is why the family have rejected such claims by stressing that they were shielding Robert Kardashian from Blac, who by all accounts has been accused of being abusive.
Lynne Ciani, who happens to be Blac’s lawyer, had this to say: “Kris Jenner falsely told them [network executives and production] that Chyna beat the s–t out of Rob’s face and asked to take her off the show.”
It is not surprising then that Blac has decided to sue for over $40 million. Not only that, but this has been accompanied by a projected $60 million loss in earnings. With so much money on the line, it is clear that neither side is going to back down.
And so it showed, as the Kardashians/Jenners responded in kind. Their defence attorney Michael Rhodes hit back at the accusations by pinning the blame on Blac.
And in the process of doing so, he alleged that it was a combination of her and Robert, whose tumultuous relationship brought the show to an end.
He added: “[Chyna] said we killed the show because we are bad people … but look at what’s going on behind the camera.” The response on social media was mixed.
A certain subset of people suggested that it was in the Kardashian’s interests to have Robert under their control. Meanwhile, others were of the view that Blac was looking for a payday.
After all, there was not a lot for her to look forward to by way of financial recompense. One person wrote: “A pay day.” Time will tell how the case does play out, but given everything we have seen so far, it does not look very good.
