WWE Friday Night SmackDown continues. We’ll have a Firefly Funhouse segment later. Carmella and Dana Brooke are out here for a tag team match. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville are their opponents and Dolph Ziggler is coming out with Mandy.
Carmella & Dana Brooke vs. Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville (w/ Dolph Ziggler)
“We want Otis” chant as the match begins. Heels take the control quickly, Sonya gets Carmella hooked in a chinlock. Carmella fights out of it with a Jawbreaker, tag to Dana Brooke. Double arm drag from the babyfaces. Dana with a Handspring Back Elbow in the corner, leading to a dropkick which makes no contact. Dolph distracts Dana, Sonya tags to Mandy who surprises Brooke with a running high knee to get the victory.
Winners: Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville
Just a quick match to get Mandy a little more cred and further her relationship with Dolph Ziggler. She’s not really acting uncomfortable or uncertain about Dolph anymore.
After a quick recap of last week’s happenings, we get another episode of the Firefly Funhouse. Every portrait on the wall is now one of John Cena. Bray asks, “I know what you’re thinking… why John Cena?” Ramblin’ Rabbit responds, “I know, I know! Because John Cena totally destroyed you five years ago at WrestleMania, setting you on a path of negativity that ruined your professional and social lives!” Bray gives a very uncertain Yowie-Wowie to that. And just to cap it off, we see a quick clip showing their match at WrestleMania 30. It was indeed the first of many, many, many major matches that Bray lost, a pattern of his first years on the main roster. Until eventually he just, stopped having big matches…
Bray goes on to say that time can either hurt or heal you. And he’s actually happy Cena did this, after all it made him who he is today. But there is a catch… John Cena also helped make another. And there is a consequence. At WrestleMania, he will face that consequence. Bray caps off the Firefly Funhouse with a message he sent out earlier this week. Time is a flat circle. We all have darkness and light in us, no matter how dark one side is or how bright the other, we’ll always come back to each side. But that’s the beauty of time… ’round and around we go.
