While Impact Wrestling signed a lot of ex-WWE talent in their time, two recent signees are striving to be one of the biggest in company history. Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson are going all in to prove they are worth the hefty price-tag Impact Wrestling paid for them, and intend to finish their wrestling careers there.
The Good Brothers Are In Impact Wrestling For The Rest Of Their Careers
While appearing on Instinct Culture with Denise Salcedo, they’d talk about how they want this brand to be built around them. To some, Impact Wrestling looks like the 3rd or 4th biggest company in the United States, the Good Brothers are loyal guys. They’re good friends with Scott D’More, one of the head backstage guys in Impact Wrestling, who wasted no time getting in touch with them.
‘It was from day one and we talked basically every day. He came so strong and made a lot of promises that he’s kept. We’re excited to wave the IMPACT flag, we’re happy that we’re a part of them and we want to be there for literally the rest of our careers.’ said Karl Anderson in this interview, in regards to his talks with Scott D’Amore.
While so far they’ve focused on showing their worth as a tag team to Impact Wrestling, they are so much more than that. Doc Gallows has never set the world on fire in a single capacity, but Karl Anderson could be the star Impact Wrestling is looking for in that regard.
Karl Anderson Wants To Be Impact Heavyweight Champion
‘I want to be the World Heavyweight Champion at some point. Gallows and I want IMPACT to be built around us. That’s what we want. We wanna show people why they invested so much on the Good Brothers coming to IMPACT…’
Good Brothers are loyal but they didn’t come cheap, as there was interest from All Elite Wrestling. It’s unclear what both sides offered, or if the lighter schedule of Impact Wrestling is what swayed them, but either way Impact had to open up their wallet. Part of the reason that is worthwhile is that they also got an untapped top singles star in the United States.
Those who have followed New Japan Pro Wrestling for years have fond memories of Karl Andersons time as a top name. He reached the finals of the G1 Climax and took Kazuchika Okada to the limit, and also nearly beat Hiroshi Tanahashi for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.
Good Brothers have a deal with New Japan Pro Wrestling as well, but Anderson is very likely to be a future Impact Wrestling World Champion. It could even be in his contract, as it’s been stated that Miro, had he signed with Impact Wrestling would have had that condition in his contract.
