Maxwell Jacob Friedman had an interesting weekend as a Twitter user thought it was a good time to challenge Friedman’s career success as allegedly coming to him because he’s white.
As a heel, it’s not uncommon for fans to throw all kinds of insults at them, and in some cases trash. But one thing that no one’s accepting anymore are slurs.
Sami Zayn had a fan kicked out of a WWE event a couple of years ago for using a homophobic slur, and AEW recently kicked out a fan for having a sign mocking Nyla Rose’ transsexualism.
People have become more brazen on social media as they can create various accounts to torment, troll, and harass others they feel the desire to.

Taking a stand
So, it’s nothing new as we see all sorts of comments like this across social media as people embrace their desire to go after others for whatever reasons, and Friedman fired back.
The user’s account appears to be deleted, but he replied to one of Friedman’s tweets with “I’m glad you can admit “hard work” has nothing to do with your success as a white man in wrestling.”
Friedman is notorious for keeping kayfabe going as he rarely breaks character on social media or in person, according to reports, but this time he did to respond to the fan.

The comments were mostly supportive while others played up to his wrestling character. Some called for Twitter to do its thing for the account and it now appears it was deactivated or deleted.
Whether by the user of Twitter is anyone’s guess.
To make things more interesting, Friedman slipped right back into his character by telling the fans he doesn’t need their likes.
Or maybe he responded in character with a little of the real Maxwell sneaking in?
It even has fans hinting that Friedman just turned face for standing up for himself, and that makes this week’s Dynamite all the more interesting to see if he mentions it or uses it in some way.
Social media definitely makes things interesting.
