The shots keep coming following the AEW All Out Media Scrum as f-bomb chants towards CM Punk continue at AEW shows and now the Elite have taken their biggest shot at him since the brawl.
To be fair, it was expected to some degree with Punk taking some casual swipes during his commentary for MMA, but he didn’t cross any lines of come across as antagonistic.
People Close to CM Punk are Unhappy With the Elite Mocking him on Dynamite
On the November 23 edition of AEW Dynamite, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks played to the fans boos and chants of CM Punk in Punk’s hometown of Chicago.
Things got interesting when Omega bit Penta’s arm to play off the report that Ace Steel bit him on the arm during the backstage fight, and Matt Jackson mocked Punk’s botched attempt at a Buckshot Lariat from Double Or Nothing.
To make it worse, Omega hit the GTS and arguably did it better than Punk.

Work or shoot?
The fact it was so blatant and it’s believed that the Elite would’ve needed Tony Kahn’s authorization to go this far in trolling Punk, or the Elites could’ve involved their EVP status.
Still, we’re curious what this will lead to given the reports of law suit possibilities floating around and earlier in the day Omega said everyone needs to move on from the brawl.
One possibility is that it was a work and everyone’s in on it, but that theory took a hit when on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said some are happy about this:
“I know that there’s people close to CM Punk that boy, were they not happy with that 6-man tag match.”
If Meltzer’s right, it should make things interesting. Of course, we haven’t heard anything from Punk about this yet.
Like WCW
While there’s always a chance Punk could return, that seems unlikely given the reports that have been coming out, and while the Elite mocking him seems like a way to get heat with him, there’s no need.
Punk made it perfectly clear how he feels about them and this seemed more like the Elite addressing it one final time publicly and they’ll move on. Or will they?
This bit reminded us of the Monday Night Wars when WCW and Eric Bischoff went after the WWE in every way possible.
Of course, the difference then was WCW actually went head to head with the WWE on the same nights, not separate days, but the feeling is similar.
