Vickie Guerrero might have gotten flack from WWE for her appearing with AEW, but it could very well lead to her getting a gig as a manager on the growing brand. Arguably one of the best heels in wrestling despite being the widow of one of the greatest to ever lace up a pair of boots. Just one shrill ‘EXCUUUUUSEE ME’ is enough to send a crowd into a frenzy, something which only gets better with age. We saw her on Dynamite recently alongside The Inner Circle, and she is looking to get a larger role going forward.
Vickie Guerrero Wants A Bigger Role, Onscreen Or Off
While speaking with Alex Feuz, she would comment on getting a bigger role, even if it is backstage. “Well if I had a choice, an opportunity, I would love to be able to be managing a superstar in All Elite Wrestling. But, it’s well also taking on different responsibilities. You know, working with the women, working with the coaches there. They have such a fantastic structure of their company, which I’m really excited to see, because a lot of the coaches take on other responsibilities. As you see, their podcast is run by referee Aubrey and then there’s Tony Schiavone and there’s different superstars that take care of travel…so they all take on the responsibility of making AEW the structure that it is. And I think that’s really important because the superstars are doing the work that’s behind the scenes, it’s not just when they step into the ring. They’re taking on the administrative and also the travel and the branding. So I think that’s really a cool aspect of All Elite Wrestling is that everyone’s involved. It’s not just about character, it’s behind the scenes and working on your days off. I think that’s really exciting to be able to be a part of that.”
Vickie Could Boost A Young Career
Having been someone involved in the wrestling industry for well over a decade, Vickie has a depth of knowledge that can be useful to AEW. She’s been a manager, a brand leader, and even stepped into the ring for comedy spots, even appearing in the Royal Rumble. This above all else makes her versatile, something a growing brand appreciates. However, she is best served as an on-screen manager for someone lacking on the microphone. She is one of the biggest heat magnets in wrestling history, and while she’s respected? Fans love to hate her. Putting her with an attractive under card guy on the roster and leaning into her cougar gimmick could boost a career with ease.
