I’m a hardcore wrestling fan, by which I mean I’m a hardcore fan of wrestling... but I also have nothing against hardcore wrestling! I’ve been watching since 2006, back when I was 12 years old. In that time I’ve fervently followed WWE, TNA, ROH, Lucha Underground and others. Today I’m most passionate about NXT, New Japan and especially AEW! You could call me a modern wrestling savant but I know my old school stuff as well... I’ll be your huckleberry all night long.
Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here, coming at you live at noon! We are but a short time from WWE NXT UK TakeOver Blackpool II 2020! Okay, I’m done with that whole full name nonsense… but that aside, this should be an instant classic show, folks! And assuming I don’t fall asleep thanks to my wonky schedule, I’ll be here to give you the live recap and results from the show as they come! Watch this space! Trent Seven vs. Eddie Dennis Dennis charges in the corner but Seven was ready, counters with a one armed powerbomb for a quick…
Ladies and gents, NXT UK TakeOver Blackpool II is on the horizon! I hope you’re all bright-eyed and bushy tailed for this one. It’s coming up at noon Eastern Time, several hours earlier than usual for WWE. Not really a problem with the WWE Network being on-demand and all though. And to me, it’s worth it to watch live, no matter how inconvenient it is for my post-Wrestle Kingdom sleep schedule! We only get a scant few chances to see this brand at full power, and every time, it’s been a true delight. Tonight should be no different. So let’s…

Ladies and gents, NXT UK TakeOver Blackpool II is on the horizon! That’s right, we have a big show from the UK coming up and holy crap this naming situation is terrible. Like okay, seriously, I’ll get to the previews in a second and I won’t put this bit on the others, but I gotta address this for a moment. So, generally speaking we have to put the ‘WWE’ label in front of most NXT shows and such. I really would rather not but it’s what’s searchable and also more factual. If you buy a ticket to an NXT show,…
Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here, Friday Night SmackDown concluded about twenty minutes ago as of this posting. The show’s main event featured the return of the Usos as Jimmy and Jey went up against King Corbin and Dolph Ziggler. But it also saw the return of one of Corbin’s henchmen, Robert Roode! Roode had been put out of commission on TV by Roman Reigns, with a violent attack that ended with him burying him under the commentary table. In reality this was a cover for Roode’s 30 day suspension. It was actually a known thing ahead of the show…
The Usos vs. King Corbin & Dolph Ziggler Ends In DQ | WWE SmackDown Results (1/10/2020)
Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here and WWE Friday Night SmackDown just went off the air. The main event saw the return of the Usos, one of the top tag teams in the game today. Jimmy and Jey’s return match was the main event of the evening, and the two of them took on King Corbin and his favorite henchman, Dolph Ziggler. That match just concluded as I type this. The Usos came back to help out Roman Reigns in his seemingly unending war with King Corbin and his cronies. He desperately needed the backup, after falling to a miserable…
We are a ways into SmackDown now and… well, it hasn’t been the most newsy night to speak of, as you can probably tell by the lack of results posts. But one noteworthy bout saw Braun Strowman, who’s been going after the Intercontinental title of late, face off with the champion Shinsuke Nakamura in a non-title match. My name is Jordan Huie, you are here at the Overtimer and as always you can expect see the live recap and results from me, I’ll be with you all night! But yes, this match came about after several weeks of Strowman making…
Tonight is the night, folks, for Friday Night SmackDown! And as the show began, The Miz made his way out for yet another edition of MizTV. This was to be a fairly prominent one however, as he was reintroducing John Morrison to the WWE universe! He did so only after trying to make an apology to Kofi Kingston for what he did last week, stating it was just a lapse in judgement, the result of a bad day. However, Morrison took a different tone in sticking up for his friend, attacking the crowd for booing him after he assaulted Kofi…
