Big E and Kofi Kingston backstage, E is being lubed… I mean, deeply oiled up by a stagehand who he pays with a series of kisses to the head. When Kofi asks what he’s doing, E explains that the more oiled up he is, the harder it will be for everyone to eliminate him! The two of then vow to win the Rumble match and dedicate their victory to Xavier Woods. Kofi’s got a match with John Morrison up next! He faced E last week, so makes sense.
But first, King Corbin backstage is WALKING! A very tiny interviewer asks if he’s concerned about Roman this Sunday. Corbin gives her the business. Says he’ll beat Roman so bad that handcuffs and dogfood will seem like child’s play. Half of that already did. Promises Roman won’t even make it to the Rumble match, and Corbin will win and become world champ and all that good stuff.
And now, finally… the By The Numbers vignette! The combined height of everyone who has ever been in a Rumble match makes up six Eiffel Towers! Aren’t you glad you knew that?! We also get another scary green lights promo from Sheamus where he repeatedly calls Shorty G a little rat.
John Morrison and The Miz emerge. Miz runs down the crowd for booing Morrison on his big return. Explains that he has no changed, he’s still the same guy that let them into his personal life and plugs his reality show. Says it’s a winner because the two of them are winners. He beat E last week and he’ll beat Kofi this week. They are both officially entering the Royal Rumble.
Kofi Kingston vs. John Morrison
At last, the match actually starts! They said it was ‘up next’ like twenty minutes ago. Morrison tries a Monkey Flip but Kofi lands on his feet, launches him with one of his own! Irish whip, John grabs the ropes to avoid a shot, charges but Kofi slips under him as Morrison just flies over the top rope, crashing and burning! Kofi springs from the top rope into a crazy flip tope! Kofi wants to throw Morrison back into the ring but Morrison posts him! Commercial break.
We come back to see Morrison holding Kofi down with a Single Leg Boston Crab but Kofi kicks him away. Morrison whips him from one corner to the other, Kofi with a Shuriken off a charge! Slips between his legs, sunset flip but Morrison rolls through, brutal knee to the face! Starship Pain, Kofi slips out of the way and he slams into the mat. Springboard Forearm from Kofi, blade chops, standing dropkick. Hits the ropes, blow ducked, thrust kick to the chest of Kofi. Whip to the corner, Kofi with a double jump off the middle rope for a press, Hurricarana for a nearfall! Kick to the face, hits the ropes, Boom Drop!
Kofi gets everyone clapping along, looks for a Trouble In Paradise but Morrison gets him with a surprise spinning back kick! Nicely timed! Morrison takes Kofi up top and pursues, Kofi headbutts him to the mat. Morrison scares the ref off, pokes Kofi’s eyes, Spanish Fly off the middle rope for a nearfall! Morrison chant now. Kofi counters a few shots with an SOS for a nearfall! Morrison with a trip, Jacknife, puts the feet up on the ropes but E catches him. E bickers with Miz on the outside, distracts Kofi, Morrison takes him down, nails Starship Pain for the win!

John still warming back up to the WWE style in a few areas, but still looking very good, real nice match.
