This weeks NXT was capped off with a tremendous fatal four way match-up, with the winner earning his way to a shot at the NXT North American Championship. That title is currently held by Roderick Strong. The men involved were Cameron Grimes, Damien Priest, Dominic Dijakovic, and Keith Lee. After 14 minutes of fast paced and hard hitting action, Keith Lee would nail Grimes with a giant powerbomb to earn himself his first one on one title match in his WWE career.
How Will Roderick Strong Stop Keith Lee?
Ever since Roderick Strong has become the NXT North American Champion by beating Velveteen Dream, he has been near unstoppable. He’s defeated both Keith Lee & Dominic Dijakovic in a triple threat, Austin Theory who made his NXT debut to challenge for the title, and also won a huge triple threat at Survivor Series over Shinsuke Nakamura & AJ Styles. He has been one of the strongest champions in the belts short history, and Keith Lee will have to wrestle a perfect match to unseat him.
But it isn’t just Roderick Strong’s in ring ability that has brought him success. When you battle any member of Undisputed Era, you run the risk of it being a 1 on 4 handicap match. The rest of the dominant faction will do anything they can to ensure they maintain control over all the gold on the brand. Keith Lee has an ally of sorts in Dominic Dijakovic, who might help protect Lee in exchange for a title shot down the line.
Lee Has Been On A Roll
While his start in NXT was a bit on the slow side, now that Keith Lee has gotten some momentum, he has become near unstoppable. He tore up on Smackdown & RAW when NXT invaded, he stole the show in both War Games & Survivor Series action, he sent Adam Cole into the 10th row without breaking a sweat, and has simply been one of the most dangerous men in all of WWE. Even with the numbers working against him, Keith Lee could very well be the man to unseat Roderick Strong and end the reign of dominance that we are seeing from Undisputed Era. We will simply have to wait and see, as this fantastic match will happen very soon. It will happen on the January 22nd edition of NXT.
