Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here and we have another episode of Monday Night Raw on tap here tonight! I’ll be here as always to give you the live recap and results from the show as they come! We have a hilariously advertised bout tonight, the ‘first ever Fist Fight’ pitting Seth Rollins and AOP against Samoa Joe, Big Show and Kevin Owens!
This is the second Raw of the year, and for the most part, we’re all still reeling from that Lana/Lashley wedding for better or worse… but that’s far from the only thing on tap. We have another appearance from Brock Lesnar being advertised, where we’ll hopefully get some clarification on what it really means for him to be #1 in this year’s men’s Royal Rumble match! And that’s in addition to an inordinate amount of matches announced in advance for tonight! So let’s take a look at them, one by one, whilst we still have the time! Raw is about ten minutes away as of this writing so I gotta get the lead out!
Fist Fight: Seth Rollins & AOP (Akam & Rezar) vs. Samoa Joe, Big Show & Kevin Owens
So they’re being vague on the rules here, as you kinda have to expect with WWE when it comes to new stipulations. They don’t like to explain these things until the last minute, since they probably won’t know themselves until then anyway. But one can assume that this involve a whole lot of punching and likely precious little else. Although, I wouldn’t put it past Rollins and AOP to sneak one past the referee and, gulp, throw a kick! This would be truly hideous.
It’s being called the first-ever fist fight in WWE history, and I mean yeah, when you think about it, can you recall a single time in WWE where any two people ever fought with their fists? It’s basically unheard of! Anyway, heels over. Big Show didn’t immediately turn on Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe when they brought him back last week which means he’s overdue.
