It is Monday Night once again everyone, and we all know how the world feels about Mondays… which is based entirely around WWE Raw! We’ve got a pretty major eight man tag team match tonight as Kevin Owens teams with the returning Samoa Joe and the Viking Raiders against Seth Rollins, Buddy Murphy and AOP! Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe & The Viking Raiders vs. Seth Rollins, Buddy Murphy & AOP
This is a pretty logical one, eh? If only this scenario popped up a few months earlier, it’d have been a pretty cool Survivor Series match. But instead we have ourselves a big ‘ol eight man tag team match instead. It comes after last week, where Buddy Murphy, Akam & Rezar managed to defeat Kevin Owens and the Viking Raiders in an elimination six-man tag that, through help from Seth Rollins, turned into a 3-on-1 in a hurry. Owens fought valiantly all the same and nearly managed to get the win. Still in the end it was all for naught as the heels got the victory. All the same, Owens’ efforts earned him a standing ovation after the fact in spite of the loss, not something you see every day on Monday Night Raw.
Now, once more, the babyface is coming at Seth and his cult, and this time they’re in full force. Samoa Joe is returning from an injury scare of his own a couple of weeks back, seemingly good and ready for tonight after suffering a concussion. With the numbers finally evened up and the whole group healthy, this kinda seems like the night where the babyfaces should be getting the win, doesn’t it? And it’d be a nice way to follow up on the Standing O that Owens got last week.
Of course, if there’s one thing WWE loves, it’s getting more and more heat all the damn time. They just can’t help themselves really but… the faces do gotta win every now and again. Can’t just up and lose a fair fight this go-round. Owens, Joe & Viking Raiders over.
