Monday Night Raw is coming to us live tonight yet again! Seth Rollins, Ricochet and Bobby Lashley meet in a high stakes triple threat match here tonight! The winner faces Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship! I’m Jordan Huie coming to you from the Overtimer, and I am here to give you the same deep dive coverage that you’ve come to expect! This evening, we’ll be giving you the recap and results from the show as they come! Not to mention previews of all three pre-announced segments! Here’s our last one so let’s get to it!
Seth Rollins vs. Ricochet vs. Bobby Lashley (WWE Championship No. 1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match)
That’s right, Rollins, Ricochet and Lashley will be squaring off where the winner challenges Lesnar at WWE Super Show-Down. For those who don’t know, the next Saudi Arabia based show is set to take place on February 27th. Which means that it’ll be on a Thursday, the day before SmackDown, just like last time. So yeah, uh, here’s hoping we don’t get a repeat of what happened this past Halloween. Kinda seems like tempting fate to me. But if there’s one thing we know about WWE, it’s that everything is fine, always!
Anyway. Rollins is of course still gaining steam as a heel after turning at the end of last year, currently co-Raw Tag Team Champion alongside Buddy Murphy. Bobby Lashley is also a heel, having long since been embroiled in his feud with Rusev over his relationship with Lana. This feels like the first time in half a year that Lashley’s been in title contention of any sort, so there is that going for him atleast.
And then we have Ricochet.
Theoretically the man with the smallest name in the match – and also the smallest man in the match – but to me, he’s gotta be the logical favorite. I mean he’s the only babyface going, but moreover, the dude’s got a feud with Lesnar brewing. Just a couple of weeks ago on Raw, Lesnar laid Ricochet out with a low blow. But then, during the Rumble match, to the shock of many, the One and Only managed to get some payback with a low blow of his own on Lesnar, which immediately led to Drew McIntyre eliminating him.
With McIntyre himself set to be Lesnar’s opponent at WrestleMania, it just makes sense that Ricochet gets his shot at Super Show-Down. So yeah, gonna say Ricochet wins here – after Rusev hits a Macha Kick on Lashley, perhaps?
