We’re most of the way through WWE Survivor Series 2019 now. The Universal Championship match is in the books, and it was probably among the best bouts in that title’s relatively short history!
Red filter or not, Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan have always had a really fun chemistry, and if anything the transformation to the Fiend has only improved things. It was the best match for the Fiend yet and probably the best match for Bray in years.
The Fiend Defeats Daniel Bryan To Retain WWE Universal Championship At WWE Survivor Series 2019
The crowd was way into him and it seems without the cell helping block their vision, they were able to watch the match just fine as they were quite hot throughout. Ultimately, the Fiend took him out with the Mandible Claw, retaining his title.
Bryan did his damnedest and fought valiantly, but ultimately he didn’t truly come that close to victory. One has to wonder if perhaps he’ll be rethinking the potential grouping with Sami Zayn and his troop going forward.
