    What Happened To Lars Sullivan?

Like many superstars, Lars Sullivan arrived on the scene in a dominant and exciting way as he tore through the WWE ranks. In his path of destruction, he left Kurt Angle, Hardy Boys, R-Truth, and the Lucha House Party (Kalisto, Lince Dorado, and Gran Metalik).

He was seemingly being built up as a super heel, capable of inflicting tremendous amounts of damage while being impervious to pain (reminiscent of Brock Lesnar upon his arrival as the Next Big Thing way back when).

While the build up was progressing, fans weren’t buying into it. Still, it seemed Lars Sullivan was in the WWE’s plans going forward until he was injured.

    No one’s impervious

Despite his character being nearly impervious to injury, lars Sullivan injured his knee severely enough that he was expected to miss six to nine months after his last appearance on Monday Night Raw o June 10, 2019. Meaning, he could return in time for the Royal Rumble and possibly have his push and career restarted then.

A phenomenal athlete, it’s hard to argue with giving him any push, even if he rarely says anything on the mic. With his gimmick as a giant, marauding monster, he can allow his actions in the ring to speak for him, and that may be best.

    Colorful past

Lars Sullivan made his official debut on Monday Night Raw following WrestleMania 35, where he attacked Kurt Angle following Kurt Angle’s farewell match loss to Baron Corbin.

This came later than expected, and he was supposed to debut in January 2019. According to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, Lars Sullivan suffered an anxiety attack the night he was supposed to appear, which resulted in delaying the WWE’s plans for him.

While he continued proving himself in NXT during the next few months, it was rumored he was supposed to face John Cena at WrestleMania 35, but that didn’t happen for unknown reasons.

After he finally did make his main roster appearance, a Reddit user posted some misogynistic, racist, and anti-gay posts he made years earlier on a bodybuilding website. Because of that, the WWE fined Lars Sullivan $100,000 and sent him to sensitivity training.

    Vince McMahon gives seconds chances

As much as Vince McMahon is vilified for what he does with the WWE by fans, he has always been known to give people second and more chances if they’ve shown remorse or that they’ve moved beyond those mistakes.

Lars Sullivan wasn’t an exception as his push continued before, and may resume when he comes back from injury. Maybe as a surprise entrant into the Royal Rumble? Would it really be out of character for Vince McMahon to do that?
