One of the best moments of the first half of the 2020 Royal Rumble was seeing NXT North American Champion Keith Lee show up. He entered during Brock Lesnars reign to terror prior to being eliminated by Drew McIntyre. He went toe to toe with The Beast Incarnate, and came as close as anyone to eliminating him from the match, only to be stopped by Braun Strownman for reasons no one but Strowman understands.
While the moment was short, fans loved what they saw. Even Lesnar was impressed, with him mouthing “That’s a big boy!” during their encounter. With them standing tall against each other, a one on one encounter would have fans on their feet.
Keith Lee Loves Top Level Competition
After the event, Keith Lee took to Twitter to Bask in the Glory of this moment.
And this? It’s the highest. I was enthralled. Who knows what would have happened 1 on 1? I hope to one day find out.”
You’d be hard pressed to find a higher level of competition in WWE than Brock Lesnar, as he is on his way to being an all time great. His aura might intimidate come, but it just makes someone like Keith Lee the motivation fo succeed and reach that level.
Could We See This Match?
With it being unlikely that Brock Lesnar will leave WWE anytime soon, and with Keith Lee on the path to stardom, it’s not impossible that they could cross paths eventually. Lee clearly caught the attention of Lesnar in their brief encounter, and once you’re able to get his attention, great things can happen. A motivated Brock Lesnar is one of the best in the world, and working with someone like Keith Lee will help bring that Brock back into the sunlight.
