It is Friday Night! And that means another episode of WWE SmackDown here tonight! I’m Jordan Huie, you are here at the Overtimer, and I will be here to give you the live recap and results from tonight’s show as they come! Even when the weather is bad and the feed is glitchy as can be trying to keep me from doing my job and it’s really frustrating and terrible… even then, I’ll be doing what I can!
The show is 30 minutes old as I type this, and we just now saw the opening match. Sasha Banks and Bayley took on the teams of Dana Brooke and Lacey Evans and Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross in a three-way tag team match. Bayley is of course WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, a title that Lacey and Dana have been eyeing for some time.

Dana counters a suplex from the corner with a Tornado Suplex. Tag to Lacey, house of fire, takes Bayley down, standing moonsault. Floatover from the corner, snapmare. Wipes off her forehead, running kick to the chest. Springing Bronco Buster, wants her double jump moonsault but Sasha pulls Bayley out of the ring and she crashes and burns! Bayley covers, Alexa and Nikki have to break up the pin. Match breaks down as everyone enters the ring, Sasha and Bayley with a double team slam on Nikki, tries one on Lacey too but she slips away, Bayley gets pulled from the ring by Dana who then tags in, Lacey with a Women’s Right on Sasha, senton off the top from Dana Brooke – she gets the pin!!
Winners: Dana Brooke & Lacey Evans
This was honestly the last result I expected to see here tonight but I’m not mad about it. Lacey got the Women’s Right in on Sasha to truly get the win but Dana gets to make the pin and have her hand raised for once. I’ve given them a lot of flak for the fake pseudo-push they’ve wanted us to convince us Dana has been getting, this is a much better way to do things.
