Kicking things off with the first 5-on-5-on-5. Big “NXT” chant just before the bell rings…

Team SmackDown (Sasha Banks, Carmella, Dana Brooke, Nikki Cross & Lacey Evans) vs. Team Raw (Charlotte Flair, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Natalya & Sarah Logan) vs. Team NXT (Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Io Shirai, Candice LaRae & Toni Storm)

Sarah Logan, Toni Storm and Lacey Evans start us off. Lacey with an immediate big boot to Logan, hair whip to Toni. Double flapjack from Toni and Logan to Evans! Asuka tags in for a hip attack but it’s evaded, she hits Lacey, Candice with a snapmare to Asuka, bulldog off the second rope to Lacey! Tag to Ripley for a big pop! Running dropkick to Lacey takes her off the apron! Asuka with an Asukalock to Ripley until Bianca breaks it up. Ton of moves from interfering parties, spears, dropkicks, superkicks, neckbreakers, enziguris, ends with a Backstabber from Sasha to Logan! She stands tall alone in the ring as the teams regroup on the outside.

Io and Candice on the outside appear to be injured. They were in that WarGames match and banged up coming in, helped to the back now. Might be considered eliminated. Charlotte, Sasha and Ripley are the legal participants. Ripley tags to Bianca. Nikki tagged in too, up top as Charlotte and Bianca square off. Logan tags in now, I dunno why they’re doing this. Carmella with constant covers on both but can’t eliminate either of them, she hollers in shock and frustration. Carmella drags Bianca up by the hair, thrust kick to the jaw, cover for 2. Carmella argues with the ref until Charlotte nails her with the Natural Selection! Carmella has been eliminated.Tags to Toni Storm, Sasha Banks and Kairi Sane. Starts to strut until Asuka sneaks up behind her, whips her around for a spit of the mist! Charlotte is blinded now. Asuka just leaves! Natalya is the only one left for Raw. She comes in, springing back suplex to Evans, Storm with a basement dropkick to Lacey. Natalya rolls up Lacey, Lacey Evans is eliminated. Suddenly Team NXT with a big 3-on-1-on-1 advantage, technically none of them actually got pinned thus far. Storm hooks Nattie’s arms, Nattie with a double leg into the Sharpshooter! And Sasha comes in for the Banks Statement, she’s locked in simultaneous finishing holds! No choice but to tap, Toni Storm has been eliminated. Banks and Natalya decide to gang up on Bianca, nail the Hart Attack. Bianca Belair has been eliminated. Ripley starts to come in as Nattie and Sasha stare her down, and then Sasha just whips Nattie around and punches her in the face and somehow that causes the elimination for Natalya. Sasha and Ripley throwing hands, Rhea with a back suplex facebuster. Rhea pulls her to her feet, throws her to the ropes, Sasha ducks her, tilt-a-whirl DDT but Rhea keeps stood up! Tries to suplex her but Sasha transitions into a sleeper!

Well it certainly could’ve been a lot messier than it was. But when the eliminations start speeding up it’s hard to not notice the rushed vibe.

That brings us to 2-1-1 with NXT having the edge.

Backstage, Rollins confronts Owens over his joining up with Team Ciampa last night and questions his loyalty, based on his past. Owens says he does love NXT, but they don’t need him, whereas Raw desperately needs him. Reminds Seth of his own past and gestures to the Shield before walking off.

I’m a hardcore wrestling fan, by which I mean I’m a hardcore fan of wrestling... but I also have nothing against hardcore wrestling! I’ve been watching since 2006, back when I was 12 years old. In that time I’ve fervently followed WWE, TNA, ROH, Lucha Underground and others. Today I’m most passionate about NXT, New Japan and especially AEW! You could call me a modern wrestling savant but I know my old school stuff as well... I’ll be your huckleberry all night long.
