WWE Survivor Series 2019 is underway now, the first match of the main card just concluded. The 5-on-5-on-5 Women’s Survivor Series match has come and went. Team NXT (Rhea Ripley, Io Shirai, Bianca Belair, Candice LaRae & Toni Storm) vs. Team SmackDown (Sasha Banks, Nikki Cross, Lacey Evans, Dana Brooke & Carmella) vs. Team Raw (Charlotte Flair, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Natalya & Sarah Logan) was a scattered affair to put it mildly.
The match saw Io Shirai and Candice LaRae escorted to the back as it seemed they were still banged up from the WarGames match the night before. However as things got grim for Team NXT late, they revealed the ruse, coming back to help Team Captain Rhea Ripley take down Sasha Banks and get the victory.
Team NXT Wins Women’s 5-on-5-on-5 Survivor Series Match
This brings things to 2-1-1 with advantage to NXT. With the reputation of NXT’s women’s division, it’s honestly pretty fitting that they got the win. Just looking at the above lineup, they really did have the best team as well. So all’s well that ends well, I suppose!
It’s already pretty clear that this three-way survivor series match concept oughta be shelved but we’ll deal with it for tonight.
