Quick preview of what’s to come for WWE Raw tonight. Considering it was taped days ago and spoilers are of course out there for you, I could theoretically just tell you everything that will be going down, with or without spoiling anything. But just for the sake of consistency if nothing else, let’s take this like an average WWE Raw and just go by what they’re advertising…
Seth Rollins will reveal his Survivor Series team.
This part I don’t think was officially shown in the tapings anyway though there was certainly some blatant hints. Either way, we know that Seth Rollins will be captaining Team Raw at Survivor Series in a few weeks’ time. Tonight we will learn who will be repping the red brand alongside him. It’s thought that this show will be based around folks trying to prove themselves worthy for the team.
It’s gonna be a chaotic match to put it kindly. 5-on-5-on-5, Raw vs. SmackDown vs. NXT. Captains for the other teams have yet to be announced, I’d expect to see that throughout this week.
Lana promises a ‘shocking reveal’.
So the Lana, Lashley & Rusev situation will continue yet again here in England. Tonight, Lana will be giving a special announcement that they’ve promised will shock everyone.
This has been a soap opera from start to finish. So you can certainly expect more of that tonight. Word is the crowd turned on this segment outright, but as that was several days ago you can expect that to be largely edited out.
WWE Women’s tag titles on the line, Kabuki Warriors vs. Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch
Okay they’re only saying the Kabuki Warriors are defending here but honestly I’m getting a little annoyed with how vague they are about this show when it’s already happened…
So yes it will be Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair vs. the Kabuki Warriors. This after Natalya made Asuka tap out last week. Charlotte takes her place here though, seemingly by way of being Charlotte.
The champs could use some momentum to say the very least, which is never a good thing to have to say. But hey, this was a pretty good match the last time they did it randomly on TV (Kabukis actually won that non-title bout for the record) so it should be an enjoyable one here tonight as well.
I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer and this preview of WWE Raw was bizarrely awkward for me to write, so much so that I am immediately going to go do the live play-by-play recap! So hopefully you’ll be there with me!
