WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2019 is four days away now, and slowly but surely we’re seeing the full card develop. There’s likely only a couple more matches left to be announced at this stage. That might seem kinda bad depending on how you look at it, but honestly it’s a huuuuge step-up from Hell In A Cell, where a little over half the show was announced the day of the event!
Last night on WWE Backstage, another match was technically confirmed… half of it anyway!
Erik and Ivar – The Viking Raiders – will be issuing an open challenge at WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2019.
The WWE Raw Tag Team Champions are laying down the gauntlet once more for any team who is willing to challenge them. This is a continuation of the drive established on this past Monday’s edition of Raw, in which they did much the same thing. That particular challenge was answered by the Street Profits, who ended up being defeated in short order.
Erik and Ivar seem to believe that they’ve run through the entire Raw tag division, which is fairly close to true. But they do have some contenders lining up still. Notably the OC actually made a point to call out the Viking Raiders during a promo on that same episode of Raw. It was noted that Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson defeated them en route to being named the “Best Tag Team In The World” at Crown Jewel. This serves as the only straight-up loss that Erik and Ivar have taken since their move to Raw over the spring, though a main event match against Randy Orton and Ricochet did see them get disqualified.
So the odds on favorite to answer would likely be the OC. But one would think the ultimate destination for the Viking Raiders would be defending against Akam and Rezar, the AOP – aka Seth Rollins’ new heavies. It’s not impossible they decide to answer this call as well.
