Monday means Raw! Monday Night Raw! And on tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, we were witness to a rather unique match, a gauntlet match in which the winner would become the new No. 1 Contender to the WWE United States Championship! This bout included the likes of R-Truth, Andrade, Humberto Carrillo, Akira Tozawa, Matt Hardy & Ricochet.
This match saw R-Truth and Akira Tozawa start out, in which Tozawa came out on top after a sunset flip style pinning combination. Out next was Ricochet. After quite a stirring back-and-forth, Ricochet ultimately overcame Tozawa with a particularly devastating Recoil! Then came the storied veteran Matt Hardy. Ricochet spent more energy than he wanted to against Tozawa so this ended up being a struggle, but he ultimately managed to reverse a Twist Of Fate into a roll-up to get the victory.
Then came Humberto Carrillo. Carrillo actually worked over the shoulder of Ricochet for much of this match, which had been originally hurt by Tozawa earlier. Ultimately, after a lengthy bout full of really good action in front of a crowd that did not care, Humberto got the victory, only to be immediately jumped by the last man in, Andrade. Andrade then took him to the outside, ripped off the pads, then nailed a Hammerlock DDT onto the exposed cement. Rey Mysterio then chased Andrade off and tended to Humberto and nobody bothered giving us an official ruling.
So this match that went a full hour had literally no finish.

Ricochet goes up top, Humberto with an enziguri cuts him off! Humberto with a Super Poison Rana, but Ricochet lands on his feet!!!! Springboard Flying Roundhouse Kick from Humberto, Canadian Destroyer, Moonsault off the top for the elimination. Ricochet has been eliminated.
Andrade out now, the last entrant. And he jumps Humberto from behind! Throws the jacket into his face, Meteora! And then a second one! Andrade throws Humberto out of the ring, rips the covering off the concrete! Throws him into the barrier. Hammerlock DDT onto the concrete! Geeze. Rey Mysterio out now, to chase Andrade away and tend to Humberto. Andrade is… just leaving out of the crowd and nobody is giving us a result, I think this match is just kinda ending now. Humberto is entirely dead.
Winner: Nobody
That sure was an hour of television.
Afterwards, Humberto was carted out.
