    Impact Wrestling’s Madman Fulton Injured

During the opening match of Impact Hard To Kill, we saw Madman Fulton of OVE (Ohio Versus Everyone) face Ken Shamrock. While Fulton put up a valiant effort, he would walk away the loser in more ways than one.Anything can happen in a wrestling match, and Fulton is an accomplished amateur wrestler, but the MMA ability of Shamrock was once unmatched. For most opponents, Fultons size and ability is enough to overwhelm them. He was able to control Shamrock for while but things would not end as planned.

Madman Fulton Had His Shoulder Popped Out

No matter how big you are, when you face a legend of grappling like Ken Shamrock, he can always break you down. Shamrock would legitimately pop Fultons shoulder out of it’s socket. This would immediately end the match to help protect the performers. This was a freak accident, and occurred during transistions between submissions by Shamrock. The planned finish was apparently to have Fulton leave as the winner, but they had to change the finish on the fly. You could nearly see the bone sticking out under the skin. Shamrock would lock in a simple looking submission to finish the match as fast as possible.

Depending on the severity of the injury, it could be just a few weeks or longer. Where Impact tapes their TV well in advance, we will likely see him just supporting his OVE brethren at ringside while he rehabs the injury.

What Could This Win Mean For Ken Shamrock?

While Ken Shamrock is basically just a part time legend for Impact, he had a very dominant victory on PPV. They should do what they can to capitalize on this, even just putting him in a future Number One Contenders match for the Impact World Championship.

Ken Shamrock spoke on this injury to SE Scoops and had the following to say.

“Yeah, there’s no question in wrestling. And even though Fulton can get under your skin and can be a jerk… you know, genuinely you’re concerned about people when you’re in there working,” Shamrock stated. “Cause it’s a way of living, right? These guys make money, and they put food on the table, and they’ve got families to support. This is no different. I had him. I sunk it in, we both spoke at the same time, and his shoulder popped. There’s no question his shoulder got hurt. I thought it was over, I thought we were done. He wasn’t going to have it, so I had to do what I had to do. I didn’t feel good about it, but I did what I had to do. He wanted to keep going, so I had to finish it.”

We hope Madman Fulton can have a speedy recovery, and be back to action as soon as possible.  Stay tuned for more Impact Wrestling news here on The Overtimer, as we will keep you informed on the wrestling company who will refuse to ever give up. They are truly Hard To Kill.
