WWE Friday Night SmackDown rages on, we’re now down to the last ten minutes of the show and here is Michael Cole in the ring. We’ve got the works here for this contract signing. Table, leather rolling chairs, black canvas and Cole’s reading glasses. Daniel Bryan and The Fiend Bray Wyatt about to meet to sign on the dotted line for their WWE Universal Championship match on Sunday. Cole introduces Bryan to the ring. And then, Bray Wyatt. He appears on the screen with the Firefly Funhouse segment.
He’s trying desperately to send the contract on his fax machine, dozens of copies of it strewn about. It seems to just come out all wrong. Bray says this may actually be a blessing in disguise, why would you ever willingly tie yourself to HIM? It’s madness! Makes a call to customer service. Bryan interrupts and says he knows he’s a sick man, but he demands he come out and sign the contract. Bray says that’s not a very nice thing to say. He’s not sick. He’s never felt better!
Wyatt explains that his attorney, Mercy the Buzzard, says he shouldn’t come down there. Bryan says all Bray does is run. He runs from his past, he runs from his mistakes. This Sunday he’ll be tied to the Fiend and he won’t be able to run. Bryan puts the strap on himself. Bray says ‘mistake’ is the word of the day! Because this is all about your big mistake, Daniel! Says he never learned his lesson. He betrayed him! He’s a liar! And now it’s time to pay. Bray mentions that he won’t be defending against himself this Sunday so… it’s only fitting that HE sign the contract.
Lights go out, signalling the arrival of the Fiend.
Fiend appears, the strap already around his wrist. Bryan attacks him but is quickly taken to the corner. Fiend chokes him out, nails him with Sister Abigail! Rips off his shirt. Lays the leather into the bared back of Daniel Bryan! Afterwards, he sits down at the table. He… seems to be tearing at his own hand?! Slams his hand into the contract, signing it in blood I think! Chant of “You got issues” as the Fiend throws the contract onto the mat near Bryan’s fallen corpse. The lights go out and in mere moments, they come back up with the Fiend gone. Bryan has nasty welts all over his back. Quick shot of the blood on the paper. Chant of “Yes” as Bryan fires up in defiance.
