Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here for another edition of WWE Monday Night Raw! As always, I’ll be here with you to give you the live recap and results from the show as they come! However, starting tonight, the format is changing a little bit here. The content is largely the same but rather than let these recap pages become behemoths and copying from them for results pages, instead every segment will get it’s own recap page. As for this page here, any time a segment ends I’ll be adding in the result and give a link to the corresponding page!
This will be a much more streamlined process on my end, and I hope it’ll also make for a cleaner reading experience for you guys as well! WWE Monday Night Raw is minutes away from beginning as I type this so we’ll swiftly see how well this works out!
Segment 1: Seth Rollins opened up the show, alongside AOP and Buddy Murphy. They bragged about their win last week until Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe interrupted them. They wanted a fight and they had the Viking Raiders to back them up! Babyfaces cleaned house and sent the heels packing.
Segment 2: Rey Mysterio challenged for Andrade’s WWE United States Championship in a ladder match. This was one of the most brutal ladder matches I’ve ever seen. It’s only January and this has a real chance of being the craziest TV match you’ll see all year. In the end, Andrade retained. He then attempted to drive Rey into the exposed cement when Humberto Carrillo made the save!
Segment 3: Aleister Black wins a squash match. Brock Lesnar emerged. Ricochet interrupted the usual spiel and challenged Lesnar to a fight. Lesnar and Heyman feigned leaving until Ric called them out on it. Lesnar then turned and kicked Ricochet below the belt.
Segment 4: Randy Orton took on Drew McIntyre. This ended in DQ after the OC attacked Drew McIntyre. Randy Orton ran them off with a chair but then surprised McIntyre with an RKO.
Segment 5: Becky Lynch took on Kairi Sane in a non-title match. The champ won, but afterwards Asuka laid her out and locked on the Asukalock.
Segment 6: Rocky Johnson vignette, Kabuki Warriors promo, Seth Rollins & Buddy Murphy vs. Viking Raiders for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships. Rollins and Murphy won in the end, new champions!
Segment 7: Street Profits do their Monday After Weekend Update bit. Erick Rowan defeats Matt Hardy in a fairly quick match.
Main event: Rusev & Liv Morgan vs. Bobby Lashley & Lana in a mixed tag team match. The heels won in a very nothing there main event.
