Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here and you can expect the same quick hits as usual! It’s the Post-Royal Rumble edition of WWE Monday Night Raw!
Segment 1: Drew McIntyre opens the show and wastes little time in announcing that, after winning the Royal Rumble match last night, he will be facing Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania! Afterwards he made an open challenge that was accepted by the OC and he decided to face them both in a handicap match, which he won quite handily! Afterwards however, Lesnar emerged to lay McIntyre out with an F-5.
Segment 2: After making a less than stellar return last night in the Royal Rumble, MVP came back here tonight, his first match on Monday Night Raw in many years, to face off with Rey Mysterio. Ultimately, Rey won got the win.
Segment 3: Aleister Black got himself another easy squash win, defeating Kenneth Johnson. Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy made their way out for their tag title defense against Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe. But as this was starting, the Viking Raiders attacked AOP backstage!
Segment 4: Rollins & Murphy defended their tag titles against Owens and Joe. Early on, Joe injured himself off a dive and had to be forced to the back to be checked on, leaving it 2-on-1. Owens fought as best he could, but Murphy eventually rolled him up to retain.
Segment 5: We had two straight title matches as Andrade put his WWE United States Championship on the line against Humberto Carrillo. The match ended in disqualification when Zelina Vega ran in, but afterwards Carrillo Hammerlock DDT’d Andrade onto exposed concrete, just as the champ did to him months ago.
Segment 6: Charlotte Flair came out to boast about her Rumble win, but decided that she’s still thinking about who she’ll challenge at WrestleMania. This brought out the Kabuki Warriors. Asuka said if she were in the Rumble, she’d have won again. They attacked her and this set up an impromptu match between Charlotte and Asuka. It ended in disqualification when Kairi Sane interfered.
Segment 7: Mojo Rawley successfully defended his 24/7 Championship against No Way Jose, and debuted Riddick Moss as his personal ‘offensive lineman’. Liv Morgan then defeated Lana.
Segment 8: Erick Rowan squashed a fool and then out came Edge! He gave an emotional speech talking about his getting cleared and making his way back. Randy Orton interrupted, teased a team up but instead dropped him with an RKO! And then he nailed him with the first Conchairto we’ve seen in years!
