The NXT Women’s division is better than it’s ever been, and one of the people who set the groundwork for this is set to return. Charlotte Flair has become one of the best wrestlers in the world. However at one point she was a bright rookie putting in time at the WWE performance center prior to making her debut for NXT. With the world of potential and big shoes to fill, she would go on to become the NXT Women’s Champion, the first of her many reigns as Women’s Champion in WWE. She is now also the third woman to ever win the Royal Rumble. She can challenge any of the champions at Wrestlemania. It is rumored her pick will not be Becky Lynch or Bayley.
Charlotte Flair Vs. Rhea Ripley
NXT has become a proper third brand for WWE, even having beat out RAW & Smackdown at Survivor Series. They have proved they are the best in the world. Charlotte Flair wants to prove she is the best of the best. This will mean having to defeat ‘The Nightmare’ Rhea Ripley. On Monday Night RAW, she announced she is still unsure who she will face at the show of shows. It’s unlikely she will be showing up there to tell us again that she does not know what she wants to do.
NXT Needs To Be Kept In The Spotlight
NXT is in the middle of a war of sorts with All Elite Wrestling. They share a time-slot on Wednesday nights and are often competing for the same group of viewers. AEW is still a very fresh brand, while anything WWE leaves a poor taste in the mouth of lapsed fans. While bringing Charlotte on won’t bring in the lapsed fans that AEW does, they could bring in some more viewers from Smackdown & RAW. Giving NXT a spotlight feud and positioning the NXT Women’s Championship as a big enough prize for a Royal Rumble winner to challenge for will do wonders for the brand.
