It is set to be yet another exciting episode of WWE’s black and gold brand. Here is just a bit of action we will be seeing on tonights episode! Adam Cole will learn who will face him for the NXT Championship, the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic will be decided, and Tegan Nox will get her hands on Dakota Kai.
Adam Cole Will Have His Next Challenger Revealed
WWE COO Triple H announced during his post-Worlds Collide interview on Facebook Live that NXT Champion Adam Cole’s TakeOver: Portland challenger will be revealed tonight during NXT on USA Network. He also mentioned that William Regal is cooking up something very interesting for Adam Coles next challenger. There are plenty of people who are worthy of a shot at the championship. The top pick has to be former champion, Tomassao Ciampa.
Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Final
The 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic field has been brought down to the final two teams, but only one will be left standing after the tournament final tonight on NXT when Matt Riddle & Pete Dunne clash with Grizzled Young Veterans. Riddle & Dunne joined forces for this tournament, while GYV are an experienced team having been the inaugural NXT UK Tag Team Champions. It could go either way, but history is on the side of Riddle & Dunne. Thrown together tag teams have a knack for winning, with Samoa Joe and Finn Balor & Ricochet and Aleister Black being previous winners.
Tegan Nox Faces Dakota Kai
At NXT Takeover War Games, Dakota Kai ended her friendship with Tegan Nox when she would attack her before she could enter the War Games match. Since then, they have been attacking each other at every single chance. When Nox returned from the injuries Kai inflicted during a No. 1 Contender’s Battle Royal on Jan. 15, Kai arrived to knock Nox out of the ring, costing her a chance to challenge for the NXT Championship. Nox got a measure of payback this past Saturday at Worlds Collide, when she ambushed Kai from behind. This match is unlikely to have a clear winner, with a double DQ being most likely. They will need a street fight to sort their differences out.
