Here we are, getting ready to celebrate another milestone on daytime television. Oh, CBS The Young and the Restless Spoilers have some spoilers and speculation for February 19.
Tomorrow’s episode will focus on celebrating Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)’s achievements in Genua City as well as Eric Braedeon’s 40 years playing the part. So far, we’ve already seen Noah Newman (Robert Adamson), Victor’s first wife, Julia Newman (Meg Bennett), and Victor’s brother, Matt Clark (Robert Parucha) pop up, mainly thanks to the efforts of Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and he quest to make this the celebration it’s worthy of.
Once in a lifetime
Everything’s perfect as we’re ready to join in a celebration that rarely comes around on television. For forty years, Eric Braeden has given us too many memorable moments to list, but they’ll remain with up for all time.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Y&R to focus on only one thing, right? So CBS The Young and the Restless Spoilers have a few ideas on what else we can expect.
Problems, problems, and Phyllis
After all these years, we know something’s coming up for the Gala, so we’ll focus on the resident bad gal of the moment, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and what may hopefully happen to her.
With all the carnage she’s wrought in a single day with Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan), Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz), it’s a perfect opportunity to knock her down one of a dozen pegs. We can’t ignore the possibility and fun an owner’s war between Phyllis and Abby will bring, but it’s plain wrong to let it start this quick. We need more buildup.
To accommodate this idea, Phyllis could suffer an accident during a confrontation at the Gala, but that’ll be too quick.
A better, yet darker option is that something could happen to Chelsea before she officially sells her shares to Phyllis. Assuming she’s in a coma or too injured to worry about them, Adam would be in control of her shares and may decide not to sell them until Chelsea is able to do it herself. It’ll piss Phyllis off royally, but it’ll given him, Chance, and Abby time to plan how to destroy her.
We could also see Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) dealing with complications from her breast cancer and chemo treatment. Between Phyllis and the havoc she causes in her wake, the stress could push her over the edge. It’d be perfect or soap writers that love to torture their characters.
