The Young and the Restless actress Camryn Grimes (Mariah Copeland) has recently found herself defending her son’s name against online trolls.
Camryn Grimes Welcomed Her New Baby In December 2024
Grimes and her fiancé, Brock Powell, welcomed their first child, Bridger Elias, in December 2023. The new parents have been sharing photos and updates about their little one on social media, but unfortunately, not all comments have been positive.
Some fans have taken to social media to mock Bridger’s name, calling it “stupid” and “ugly.” Grimes, however, was quick to defend her son and his unique name. In response to one critic, she wrote:
“It takes a consummate a****** to unabashedly respond like this about A BABY.”
So a few years back (after the exhaustion of COVID) I reconciled my need to hold hateful and unnecessary internet rhetoric accountable, as it ultimately gave way to more negativity.

Grimes explained that she and her fiancé chose Bridger’s name after careful consideration, inspired by its meaning and connection to her father’s hometown of Montana.
Camryn Grimes Remains A Proud Mom
Despite the negative comments, the actress remains proud of her son’s name and is enjoying every moment of motherhood.
