Ladies and gentlemen, it is Monday Night, which means another edition of WWE Monday Night Raw! Tonight, Seth Rollins graces us with his presence and basically promises a lecture, but maybe consider tuning in anyway! My name is Jordan Huie, and thank you for joining us here at The Overtimer! As always, you can expect the full coverage for tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, including a live recap and results for the show as they come, plus previews for everything you can expect to see tonight!
Seth Rollins To Hold A Live Sermon Tonight On Monday Night Raw
So uh yeah, this is a thing being promoted and that’s what they’re actually calling it. Taking the Messiah thing another step forward, the leader of Raw’s resident cult will be appearing live here tonight to deliver a sermon. What that means is really anyone’s guess, though it will likely simply translate to a more officially presented version of his usual preaching promos. One can only imagine Buddy Murphy and Akam & Rezar of the AOP will be there with him as well.
Incidentally, I’m aware that they have recently taken to just calling him ‘Murphy’, losing his last name over the past couple of weeks. But perhaps unlike most, I’m also well aware that this has happened to him before. He dropped his first name during his days teaming with Wesley Blake as well so that they could be billed as simply Blake & Murphy, a decision presumably made by the same mind behind Konnor & Viktor. It’s a temporary thing done to make descriptions shorter when he has to be mentioned in the same breath as the rest of the group.
This is of course done in lieu of an actual name for the stable itself, which would easily rectify that problem without having to alter anyone’s name. But they’re allergic to naming teams and groups on the main roster so this is how they’re doing it. Anyway, eventually he’ll split off from the others and he’ll get his first name back. For simplicities’ sake, I’m just sticking with the full name.
All that said… one can assume the sermon will be quite long-winded and droning until Kevin Owens and co. come out to interrupt it. But hopefully Seth Rollins will be able to bless a few extras, maybe heal the sick for a bit before this happens.
