Who Should Be Next To Face IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Guerillas Of Destiny In NJPW?

Over the course of the New Beginning in the USA tour, the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships would change hands. Juice Robinson & David Finlay (aka FinJuice) had just won the championships earlier in January at Wrestle Kingdom. At New Years Dash, they were challenged by Hiroshi Tanahashi & Kota Ibushi for a match over the titles, which was accepted. Sadly, due to Kota Ibushi missing the tour due to the flu, that match would never happen. Instead, Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa (known collectively as Guerillas of Destiny) would avenge their Wrestle Kingdom loss. They would become 6 time holders of the championship. However, they are left with two challengers breathing down their necks. Who deserves the next shot?

FinJuice Deserve A Rematch Against Guerillas Of Destiny

The match during the New Beginning in the USA tour where FinJuice lost the championship was not one with a clean finish. Guerillas of Destiny would use the title belt and a distracted referee to gain the victory. With these two teams at one win a piece in championship matches, a tiebreaker would truly prove who is the better team between the duos. FinJuice proved that they can win when there is no cheating involved, but Guerillas of Destiny have not proven that themselves.

Kota Ibushi & Hiroshi Tanahashi Got The Win In Osaka

In the undercard of New Beginning In Osaka, we would see Kota Ibushi, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Juice Robinson, and David Finlay face Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Chase Owens, and Yujiro Takahashi. This match would end with Hiroshi Tanahashi pinning Tanga Loa. It is an unwritten rule in NJPW that if you pin a champion, you jump the line for a title match. With Tanahashi & Ibushi having been the team to get the pinfall, they stake a claim at the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships.

Toru Yano & Colt Cabana Pinned The Champs During World Tag League

During World Tag League, the Guerillas Of Destiny faced an early loss at the hands of the crafty duo of Yano & Cabana. The comedy wrestling experts have been building a great win record in NJPW, and deserve to be in the title picture of the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships. While FinJuice and Tanahashi & Ibushi are at the front of the hunt, never count either of these men out.

Who do you think should be next to face Guerillas Of Destiny for their tag team championships? Let us know in the comments down below.
