It is Monday again, and we all have our feelings about Monday… after all, it’s the night of WWE Monday Night Raw! Tonight, in a very unique first-time-ever-in-WWE match, the enigmatic and undefeated Aleister Black will take on the Phenomenal AJ Styles! I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here to report on the show with the same full coverage you’ve come to expect! That means you’ll be getting the results from every segment of the show, plus links to recaps moments after they conclude! Not to mention full previews of everything that’s on tap this evening!
We have an usually stacked card tonight for a WWE TV show, atleast it feels that way to me. It’s not every day we come into Raw with four matches announced, among other things. And they all have potential to be really, really good ones as well! On paper, this looks like a great night of wrestling action, so let’s get into it!
AJ Styles vs. Aleister Black
Last week, Aleister was jumped backstage by the OC, for basically no reason other than walking past them whilst they were in a bad mood. After that, he limped his way out for another brutal fight against Erick Rowan and despite how clearly worn down he was, he managed to keep his Raw undefeated streak in tact against the monstrous Rowan. Afterwards, he wasted little time addressing the OC and challenged AJ Styles to a match for next week’s Raw.
Welp… this is the next week! So this match is going down tonight and it has every chance in the world to steal the show. These two have only faced off once before in the past, back in 2015, before either of them found their way into WWE. And tonight, I think it may finally be time. Aleister’s gone a long while on Raw without taking his first loss but it had to happen eventually. There would be no shame in losing it to AJ Styles.
AJ is a former world champion, not just in WWE but everywhere he’s ever been. He’s considered by all to be among the best wrestlers of his generation, and some would even say the best in the world. And moreover, he’s feuding with the Undertaker now, set to face him at Mania. Now is the time for him to start building up and ending an unbeaten streak is a great way to pull it off. AJ Styles over.
