WWE Monday Night Raw continues. Charly Caruso is in a darkly lit ring with a sit-down interview with Shayna Baszler, nothing but a spotlight on them. Charly is intimidated as Shayna just stares holes through her while she asks questions and doesn’t get answers. Charly says she knows she likes to speak with her actions and they speak volumes but since she’s here, she’d like her to put it into words. Shayna asks Charly why she looks so nervous, like she thinks she might bite. Shayna says Becky should be very worried. Demands that Charly ask what she really wants to ask. Shayna asks, why does Shayna just want to destroy? And if Shayna just wants to destroy, why does she want the Raw Women’s title?
Baszler then answers her own questions, saying that she wants the Raw Women’s title BECAUSE she wants to destroy. To run through every challenger… but as she explains this, she’s suddenly hit across the back with a steel chair! Because of the lighting you can’t even see who did it, but when the lights come up you see Becky Lynch with a steel chair! She stomps on Shayna as we go to commercial.
Somewhat strangely when we come back the ring has already been cleared, there’s not much immediate follow-up to what just happened even though we went to break right in the middle of a brawl. Instead out comes Aleister Black for a squash, as they mention he’s facing Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania.
Aleister Black vs. Leon Ruff
Black’s jobber this week looks absolutely petrified to be facing him. Black just leans calmly against the corner. Slowly, he stalks towards him and Ruff backs up. Eventually Aleister sits cross-legged on the mat. Ruff is confused, demands that he get up. Asks the ref what he wants. Charges for a kick, Black evades it, catches another attempted kick, just nails him flush with a Black Mass and covers for the easy victory.
Winner: Aleister Black
Black just leaps over the dude and rolls right into his cross-legged position. That was actually a pretty effective use of this setting, the job boy got to display a lot of trepidation since you could outright hear him there, every little thing going through his head. Ultimately it just took the one kick and man that was a helluva Black Mass, they’re laying it in on some of these matches tonight.
