Ladies and gentlemen it is Wednesday and that means another episode of AEW Dynamite is coming at us here tonight! A new trio formed last week, PAC, Fenix and Pentagon now call themselves the Death Triangle and they shall officially be coronated with a match tonight against Joey Janela & Private Party! Death Triangle (PAC, Fenix & Pentagon) vs. Joey Janela & Private Party
We have seen PAC, Pentagon and Fenix team together before – in fact the trio was MEANT to team together long ago. Originally, it was the trio that was set to face off against the Elite back at Fyter Fest, before PAC had to pull out of AEW’s early events. So it would seem that this group becoming official was perhaps in the plans for a long time, or atleast it’s been considered for quite a while. However it was not made official until last week.
All three of them have notedly been dealing with the Best Friends for a while and that came to a head last week. PAC faced off with Chuck Taylor in singles action, that led to the lot of them destroying the Best Friends live on Dynamite. They followed that up quickly with an attack on Private Party after they won a match on AEW Dark this past week. Joey Janela came out to make the save for one reason or another, but even he couldn’t contend with them until the Best Friends helped them out.
Janela has recently stated that he’ll be a part-timer in AEW for a while as he refocuses on his indy work but he was still there to help build this last week and we’re seeing him in action here tonight. For all we know it’s the last time we’ll see him for atleast a little bit though. It’s hard to say. One thing that’s for sure is that together, PAC, Pentagon Jr and Rey Fenix could be a truly dominant – and very exciting! – force in AEW. And they should be christened with a great win here tonight. Death Triangle over.
