Following last night’s Elimination Chamber event which, by all means, was in fact a show, WWE Monday Night Raw is on tonight! We now know that we’ll be getting a special appearance tonight from the Texas Rattlesnake himself, Stone Cold Steve Austin! My name is Jordan Huie and you are here with us at the Overtimer. Stone Cold Steve Austin To Make An Appearance Next Week On Raw
Yes, it’s been said that Steve Austin himself will be making a special appearance next week on Monday Night Raw, celebrating March 16th or 3/16 as Steve Austin Day. Now granted, they aren’t making a huge deal about it, which kinda tells me that he probably isn’t gonna be there live. I wouldn’t be at all shocked if this was little more than a Skype call interview, honestly. Still, they did bother to make a graphic for it and it’s a bit different from the norm, so it seemed discussing.
Through some twitter teasers leading up to the show, it became clear that Austin has another episode of his Broken Skull Sessions coming up, a fairly popular new series where the wrestling icon interviews various men from his lengthy past. This has thus far included the likes of the Undertaker, Bill Goldberg and the Big Show. This week’s iteration however sees Austin talk to one of the most important figures in the growth of his own career. He’s meeting up with the one and only Bret “The Hitman” Hart!
Bret of course did a lot to help make Steve Austin with their famous I Quit match at WrestleMania, lauded as one of the all-time greats of Mania’s first fifteen years and among the sport’s most highly regarded double turns. So one can only imagine the multitude of things the two of them have to discuss. It should be an interesting interview for sure, and Bret is if nothing else always known for his honesty. One can only surmise that since we’ve got a particularly major interview guest lined up this time around, Austin’s appearance on Raw will largely be done to promote this. But who knows, might could surprise us..
