Noam Dar has been one of the more consistent stars in the history of NXT UK. He was first brought into WWE for the Cruiserweight Classic, and would be a staple of the Cruiserweight Division for a time after. He is likely still best known for being with Alicia Fox for a feud with Cedric Alexander, but his run in NXT UK has established the Scottish Supernova as a top performer.
Another person on this rise is the unassuming A-Kid. One of the top stars from Spain, he previously took stars like Zack Sabre Jr., Pete Dunne, Will Ospreay and Ricochet to the limit in his home promotion, White Wolf Wrestling. Since arriving in NXT UK, he has been looking to find the same success.
Noam Dar Rolls Into The Battle Royal With Momentum
Next week on NXT UK, there will be a 20 man battle royal to name WALTER’s next challenger, and both men in this match are just looking to get more momentum going into it, giving this match some stakes. Dar would start by trying to take down A-Kid down, but he was underestimated the technical prowess of A-Kid who quickly turned the tables on Dar. They sprawled for control on the mat, before Dar shoved A-Kid off only to be answered with a spin kick which Dar dodged.
A-Kid would lock in a deadly Octopus Lock, but Dar slipped out, stilling getting a kick in the arse for his troubles. This would fire Dar up, and the two men would trade near falls with quick counter pinfall attempts, showing how evenly matched they are. Dar would nail a spinning back elbow to gain control, setting up a draping DDT off the middle rope, but instead just letting A-Kid fall to the mat and kicking him. Some stomps in the corner would further press the advantage for Dar, but was still unable to put away A-Kid.
A-Kid would find an opening after a clever arm drag caught Dar off guard, following up with a stiff dropkick. He would attempt to follow up with a moonsault as Dar fled to the outside, but Dar would slip back in and catch him out of mid-air with a submission attempt. A-Kid would escape and they would trade submissions. Dar would hit a lowblow out of the refs view before hitting his signature Nova Roller kick for the win.
Could Dar Be The One To Face WALTER?
With him being one of the rising stars of the brand, Noam Dar could be the one to win the Battle Royal next week and finally get his chance to be the NXT UK Champion. WALTER would give stiff competition, but Dar could be crafty enough to beat the Ring General. Do you think Noam Dar could even win the Battle Royal?
