There has been a piece of the women’s division missing in recent months. This is Nia Jax, who went down with a double ACL injury April of last year. Before she got injured, she was in a tag team with fellow powerhouse Tamina, and competed at WrestleMania 35 in a fatal 4-way tag team match. The former RAW Women’s Champion is set to return very soon, what could be her first feud back?
Nia Jax Is Unlike Anything Shayna Baszler Has Ever Faced
With a victory over Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship seemingly a lock for Shayna Baszler, the RAW women’s division is going to need someone to match her out of the gates. A perfect choice for this would be the powerhouse of Nia Jax. While Shayna has plenty of experience taking out women roughly the same size as her, she has never really faced someone with the raw power and size of Nia Jax. Shayna could try to get her rear-naked choke on Nia, but could be crushed into the mat by Nia to easily break it. Even her friend Ronda Rousey was unable to fully defeat Nia Jax in the past, making her a deadly force for the potential future RAW Women’s Champion.
Not Finished With Becky Lynch
Should Becky Lynch be able to retain over Baszler at Wrestlemania, Nia Jax remains a great option for a post-Wrestlemania feud. Many fans will remember that it was a clumsy punch from Nia that would break the face of Becky Lynch, and force WWE to change her singles match with Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series into one involving Charlotte Flair instead. While the heat of this feud has died down as this happened in 2018, it could be quickly reignited as Becky Lynch is still bitter that she never got to face Ronda one on one. It would be a logical story to pick back up, especially as if Becky beats Shayna, there really isn’t anyone on RAW she hasn’t yet beat.
Bayley Needs To Watch Her Back
Over on the Smackdown brand, Bayley has reigned supreme as the longest reigning Smackdown Women’s Champion. She has maintained her reign by virtue of heart, luck, and more cheating that Eddie Guerrero. While the planned match at Wrestlemania will be a six pack challenge for her championship, with Paige coming to Smackdown to confront Bayley this Friday, things could change by the time that show concludes. Paige was retired due to injury, so barring a suprise return she likely has a client who will face Bayley, and that would likely be Nia.
