Waiting for news
Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) has had an awesome storyline with her dealing with cancer and the subsequent fallout one can face under those circumstances.
When done right, this is one of the best aspects of daytime television as we’re shown the different possibilities many deal with when going through this ordeal. As with other shows, they’ve done a good job of adding the support and pain family members and friends deal with as well.
Now, Sharon’s in the homestretch as she’s waiting for her doctor’s call to inform her if the latest scans will show the tumor has shrunk or if she’ll need surgery.
The latter is the worst case scenario, but Sharon may luck out an not have to deal with it. The worst case scenario was already played out on another show, General Hospital, and given most of us are stuck at home, anything less than a full recovery could really cause some issues for the network and show.
Elena’s new venture
Looks like Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) has her eyes set on a new challenge, and this could prove interesting as we get to see a mysterious character spread her wings a little.
What her endeavor could be is up in the air, but CBS The Young and Restless Spoilers think she’s either going to complete/further pursue her medical career, or join Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) in their free clinic venture.
The clinic seems more likely simply because it’ll give her more experience and allow her to build on her relationship with Devon, assuming he’s not fully into Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) yet.
Of course, anything is possible in Genoa City, so stay tuned.
Nikki confronts Phyllis
If there was ever a mother-daughter-in-law fight that brings a smile to our faces, it’ll be this one.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is a lovable, kind hearted woman that will rip someone’s head off if they threaten her family. In short, she’s a good mama bear.
Nikki isn’t going to take the news that Miss Disease, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), is back with her son, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), very well. Especially with Nick now running Newman Enterprises and the tons of stress waiting for him there. After all, having Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) looking over his shoulder isn’t easy or fun.
Depending how it all goes, Phyllis could thanks Nikki because if Victor would let Nick do his job instead of micromanaging, Nick wouldn’t need her.
Wonder how Nikki would take that? Just a thought.
