For a while now, Jinder Mahal has been healing up after an injury he suffered shortly after Wrestlemania 35. His last match was on June 15, 2019 when he wrestled Mustafa Ali at a live event and ruptured his Patella tendon. However, the long road to recovery is now complete, and he is cleared and ready to return at any time. What do you think will be in the future of Jinder Mahal when he returns to WWE?
Proving Jinder Mahal Was The Best Member Of 3MB
While it seems like ages ago, once upon a time Jinder Mahal was aligned with Drew McIntyre & Heath Slater. Since those days, all three men have been released from the company with Mahal & McIntyre able to make their ways back to WWE and winning the WWE Championship. Heath Slater is still out of a job, having only been released about a week ago, but Mahal is a former champion while McIntyre is the current WWE Champion. McIntyre has his first real test in Seth Rollins coming up, but could Mahal be next in line? Mahal in the past has beaten men like Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura and has taken Roman Reigns to the limit. It is not hard to believe they would build him back up to place him against his old partner.
Back To The Midcard Scene
While a return to the main event scene isn’t out of the question for Mahal, it is more likely that he will come back and chase after the United States or Intercontinental Champion depending on which brand he ends up on. If he has the Singh Brothers back in his corner, he could add another title to his trophy case. The worst case scenario would see him rejoin the chase for the 24/7 Championship, currently held by Rob Gronkowski who won it at Wrestlemania 36. Mahal held this championship twice in the past, in the early days.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Jinder Mahal. He is still dealing with fan backlash due to his meteoric rise to the top, but has become an entertaining part of the roster since he lost the championship.
