CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers here was we’re getting ready to kickstart another themed week, this one focusing on the Winters family. Originally airing February 13, 1991, this episode is a milestone for one of the show’s most beloved cast members, Kristoff St. John.
It marks Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John)’s first day in Genoa City and gave birth to a daytime television legend. While all of that didn’t happen over night, but all legends need to start somewhere. Overall, the week will span the early 90s to the mid 2000s as we get to relive some of their greatest, worst, and most loving moments in history.
To be fair, our only concern at CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers for this week is that it may have been better down as a celebration of Kristoff St. John’s greatest moments like they honored Jeanne Cooper with the “Katherine the Great” theme week. Of course, that’s always a possibility in the following week or two, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed.
Anyway, onto the throwback spoilers we go!
Opening day
As mention above, Neil’s just stepped foot in Genoa City and entered Jabot’s building when he runs into Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell). To say it’s love at first sight is an understatement, and the two will begin what one would expect a long and healthy relationship. Of course, we’re in soap opera land and know that’ll never happen, but it’s still a great start to an amazing career for a phenomenal actor.
While it’s easy to say that looking back through hindsight’s lens, there’s no denying he had what it took and fans agreed. Hopefully, we’ll see a theme week based on him so we can honor his career like we did Jeanne Cooper. Speaking of Jeanne…
Katherine hears about Brock
Some people on these shows are meant to suffer. As much as we’d like to see something different, it’s the way with soaps and talented actors and actresses. In this case, CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers aren’t sure what kind of news she receives. Given how every time Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) and Brock Reynolds (Beau Kazer) hear news about the other, it’s usually about a death or disappearance, so we’ll go with she hears Brock died in an accident.
While we know he wasn’t really dead, it’ll still allow us to see a great scene with Katherine to go along with Neil’s first appearance. Not a bad way to start a new week, right? We doubt this episode will be deleted from DVRs in the near future.
What do you think happened to Brock, and will Neil stumble in romancing the love of his life? Let us know in the comments, and remember to check back with CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
