Few things are better than peeking inside someone’s dreams, especially when it’s on daytime television for us all to enjoy. CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers are looking forward to this week’s second helping of “Victor and Nikki: A Lifetime of Love” theme. When this episode aired on August 17, 1987, he and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) were on one of their many vacations from one another, which adds an interesting element to this episode as it focuses on Nikki’s imagination rather than Victor Newman (Eric Breaden)’s ego or conquests.
Speaking of Victor’s conquests, this episode brings up yet another of Victor’s love affairs as the man has sampled just about every woman in Genoa City and beyond. Given his English accent, he’s their version of James Bond. Just without the flashy moves or cool toys. At least, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) is a better name than Xenia Onatopp or Pussy Galore, right?

Shaken and stirred
In this episode, CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers are going to enjoy watching as Nikki dreams about her and Victor reuniting. There’s little argument that they’re each other’s love of their lives, and as such, they’re thoughts and hearts are always on the other one. It’s why they’ve broken up so many times, and why they’ve been married about as often.
They become obsessive and overprotective of each other to the point they force the other away in some manner or another. It’s a cycle they’ve perfected over the years, meaning there’s little doubt they’ll find a reason to break up again. It’s just a matter of time.
But Nikki’s dreams depend on one thing, and that’s Ashley being removed from the equation. How she envisions this is the subject for another time, but we’re going to get to see what her fantasies include.
We know she and Victor will have a wonderful time as she’ll envision every conceivable way of coming together, but we’re more interested in what’ll happen between those moments. While we rarely dream in sequence, writers don’t often think like that.
This episode will be a tear jerker as we’ll see how happy she is with Victor, but also because we know they end up together years later. It’s a fairy tale relationship that we’re all invested in on some level and want to experience ourselves and vicariously through Nikki and Victor’s experiences.
