AEW Dynamite rolls on. We get a pretty good promo from Brandi Rhodes responding to Jake Roberts’ constant mentioning of her name and Archer’s ‘advances’ on her last week. Brandi calls out his usual gameplans, figures that he wants to lure her into a confrontation with Lance Archer in tow and the two of them would corner her and make her feel real small, just to get Cody to come running in to make the save only to get ambushed. Brandi says that worked great in his heyday but there’s a hole in that plot now because it’s not 1991 anymore. She’s not any of the women from history that Jake has been referencing. If Jake slaps her he should expect a reprisal. Now, out comes QT Marshall alongside Brandi, he faces off with Lance Archer who assaults one of the guys in the crowd area.
We also get a quick replay of Brodie Lee’s attack on Moxley in that last segment to highlight the fact that he walked out with the AEW World title in his hands, this was missed before but he stole the belt. In the ring, Lance nails QT before the bell.
Lance Archer vs. QT Marshall
Archer assaults him and immediately starts battering him, charging back elbows in the corner. QT low bridges him, tries for a tope but Archer catches him by the throat and chokeslams him into the apron! He goes over and stares Brandi down as we go to commercial break. As we come back, QT is down in the corner and Archer is grinding a boot against him, Springing Spinning Splash for a nearfall! We get a replay of Archer hitting a gigantic biel throw on QT during the commercial break. Marshall trying to fight back though, escapes to the apron and wants a springboard but Archer charges and nails him with a Big Boot to take him to the floor!
And Britt Baker nails him with a boot as she loves to do with Nightmare Family folks. Brandi Rhodes takes the shoe away from her and just throws it as far as she could. QT attacks Archer as he takes them back into the ring, Springboard Clothesline has no effect. Springboard Enziguri, Archer reverses a whip into the corner and charges for a back elbow but QT catches him for a back suplex! Goes up top… but Archer springs right to his feet. QT has to roll over him but there’s the Pounce! Lance Archer takes him up top, and there’s the Blackout for the vict- nope, he pulls him up. Claws him and slams his head into the mat repeatedly before pinning him.
Winner: Lance Archer
Archer is such a fun monster. Afterwards though, Britt jumps the guardrail and attacks Brandi from behind! She throws Brandi into the ring! Archer holds her in place… and Jake Roberts has a snake!! He lays atop her and puts the snake down onto Brandi’s fallen body. It’s crawling all over her as she’s totally unconscious. The snake goes some dirty places, it’s a freak of a reptile. Finally Jake takes it off of her and scares some girls in the crowd with it.
