WWE Monday Night Raw rolls on. The Street Profits come out and cut a promo talking about how supposedly, ever since the Viking Raiders came to the performance center the Profits have been chasing them. Well tonight they face off with them and they want the smoke, you kinda know how it ends already… out come Erik and Ivar and we’ve got ourselves a non-title match that kinda feels like it should be a title match.
WWE Raw Tag Team Champions The Street Profits vs. The Viking Raiders (Non-title)
Erik with a back body drop on Montez Ford but he slides and lands on a knee. Ford smiles cockily as he slowly turns around. Erik up and attacks Dawkins on the apron out of nowhere in response and Ford charges angrily. Takes Erik into the corner, flips away from him. Tries to take a pot shot at Ivar as retribution, Ivar ducks it and Erik of course takes the advantage. Ivar goes outside to clothesline Dawkins, and get him with a big crossbody onto the floor. Erik gets Ford with a powerbomb, then tags in Ivar who hits a Top Rope Frog Splash for a nearfall. Ford with a jawbreaker, leaps and gets caught but makes the tag to Dawkins anyway. Gets Ivar with a dropkick. Tag directly back to Ford, always a great idea. Double team begins but Ivar breaks it up, clothesline to Dawkins.
Tag to Erik who gets the huge Buisaku Knee and there’s the Hammer of Thor which I guess they’re calling the Assisted Hip Attack now. Nearfall. Kind of uncommon for them to name signatures. Now they’re working over Ford in the corner, tags and isolation. Ford escapes an Erik suplex for a roll-up, after the kickout Ford tags out. Dawkins with a series of clotheslines, big Exploder to Erik! Knocks Ivar to the floor, Rolling Clothesline in the corner leads to the bulldog. Erik rolls to the floor, pulls Dawkins out and slips back into the ring, charges for a dive but Dawkins with an uppercut! Ducks an Ivar clothesline and just barrels through him with a shoulder block sending him flying into the barrier! Commercial break.
As we come back, Dawkins has Erik in a side headlock on the mat. Tag to Ford, double team whip into a huge Ford dropkick and he actually lands on top of Erik after nailing it! Glad he’s so small and Erik’s so big. Cover for a 2 count. Now the Profits are isolating a bit with Dawkins tagging in and working Erik over until he lands a big haymaker and tags in Ivar! Big corner Bronco Buster on Dawkins, cartwheel into a lariat to Ford! And another bronco buster shot for a nearfall! Erik tags in, heavy knee for a nearfall, and now he’s got him in a front facelock.
Wants the Inverted Hip Toss but Dawkins lands on his feet and gets him with a Gutwrench Suplex! Simultaneous tags! Ford gets the quick advantage, kicks aplenty, hits the ropes for a clothesline, and a second one but Ivar isn’t going down! Charges, ducks a shot, Ivar with a cartwheel but gets caught with an enziguri, Ford powers Ivar up for a back suplex but he struggles and escapes. Dawkins with a blind tag, now a Double Team Back Suplex! Cute. Dawkins hurls Ford onto Erik and covers for a nearfall. Tag to Ford, double team attempted but Ivar breaks it up with a Handspring Double Back Elbow! Tag to Erik, Gutwrench into a gutbuster and backbreaker, they’re setting up their old Fallout finish I think but Ford escapes, they attempt the Viking Experience instead but Dawkins makes the save and tags out Erik. Spinebuster from Dawkins sets up the From The Heavens splash from Ford, Erik has to break up the pin. Sends Ford to the outside with a back body drop. Erik and Dawkins are legal at this stage. Dawkins is nailed with the Viking Experience and that is that.
Winner: The Viking Raiders
Good match but maybe a little long. Without a crowd it can be hard to make lengthier matches feel worth it and it’s kinda clear too that WWE doesn’t really know how to structure face vs, face matches anymore, especially tag matches. They just kinda take turns being the heel.
