Tegan Nox is a champion in the making in NXT, but due to her struggles with Dakota Kai and injury, she has had a hard time getting momentum going. She would look to change that this week on NXT, when Nox would face the Aussie upstart, Indi Hartwell. Who would get one step closer to the NXT Women’s Championship?
Indi Hartwell Impresses With Her Power
A quick lock up would lead to Hartwell shoving Nox away, showing a power advantage early. Hartwell would look to control Nox early on, with a variety of strikes and throws before attempting a very early near fall which got a one count. Nox would be stomped in the corner, but would fight her way out with strikes of her own before being dropped with a Sidewalk Slam in the middle of the ring which got Hartwell another near fall.
Back on their feet, Hartwell would send Nox into the corner but meet an elbow as she charged in. Another quick counter to a charge from Hartwell would send her onto the apron, where she would drive the shoulder into the stomach of Nox to create space for a Springboard. Unfortunately she would be caught by Nox who would hit a Chokeslam in honour of her childhood hero, Kane.
Tegan Nox Makes The Comeback
After that high impact maneuver, Nox would finally have control who would unload a series of right hands before trapping Hartwell in the corner and hitting a big cannonball senton in the corner. Nox would take to the top rope for a crossbody to knock Hartwell down once again, before hitting the Shining Wizard for the win.
This match was a fairly standard one, and ended up being a great showcase for both the power of Indi Hartwell and the determination of Tegan Nox. They played their roles perfectly, and we could be seeing the next big babyface in the NXT Women’s division with Tegan Nox. With Candice LeRae now turned heel, and Rhea Ripley likely getting a shot at RAW & Smackdown very soon, it might be finally time for Nox to show what she can do.
