After his loss to Johnny Gargano in their final clash, Tommaso Ciampa needs to find himself once again. He is not the NXT Champion, he’s not the face of the brand, he’s just Tommaso Ciampa. That alone is enough to still make his a very dangerous man though, as he will prove come NXT Takeover: In Your House when he will take on Karrion Kross. With that match quickly approaching, he needs to get the ring rust off, and he would set up a match against Leon Ruff to do exactly that. With Scarlett looking on from ringside, would the mind games be too much for him?
Tommaso Ciampa Still Has It
Ciampa would be staring down at Scarlett as the bell rang, and Ruff would not waste this chance. He would roll up the former NXT Champion for a two count. Thinking on his feet, he would rush Ciampa who moved to the corner to keep pressure on his opponent. Being sent to the apron, a springboard attempt would be dashed, with Ruff evading Ciampa before being leveled with a huge running knee strike.
Scarlett would distract once again with her presence, but with Ruff rocked he wouldn’t be shocking Ciampa anymore, eating another running knee in the corner of the ring. In the middle of the ring, Ciampa would set up The Fairytale Ending facebuster, blow a kiss to Scarlett and it would be lights out for Leon Ruff. Better luck next time, Ruff.
Karrion Kross Calls Out Ciampa Ahead Of Their Match
After this dominant victory, Kross would appear on the screen at the top of the ramp. He would congratulate him on his victory, and take some time to express that Ciampa was right to call himself & NXT Takeover special. He promises to give Ciampa something he never felt before in his life. This will be one for the ages, and very well could be the start of a meteoric rise for Karrion Kross.
